Jue (见爵)

The present jue is of elegant, upright form, with a long, upturned spout and a slightly shortened tail. A pair of posts with mushroom-shaped finials rises from the base of the spout. The vessel has a deep, rounded body and three splayed conical legs. A bovine-head handle is set at the side of the body, cast on the interior with the single-character inscription Jian.
